Enormous Mudslide Adds to Japanese Typhoon Damage

Driving rain after Typhoon Nakri caused an enormous mudslide that sent a YMCA parking lot diving down a hill in Anan in Japan's Tokushima Prefecture.

Typhoon Nakri had weakened to a tropical depression by Tuesday in the Asian Pacific, but not before it killed a man in western Japan and led to evacuation advisories for more than 500,000 residents because of heavy rain. The driving rain caused an enormous mudslide that sent a YMCA parking lot diving down a hill Monday in Anan in Tokushima prefecture. More could be on the way as Typhoon Halong is on track to make landfall later this week.
