Mindy Project Cancelled, Might Move to Hulu

FOX announced the cancellation of The Mindy Project after three seasons, following steadily dwindling ratings for the romantic comedy.

The show had an all-time series low viewership for its third season finale, according to ratings trackers.

Created by actress and writer Mindy Kaling, The Mindy Project followed the story of a successful if flighty OB-GYN searching for love. The finale ended in a cliff hanger with Mindy’s love life (and a recently announced baby) up in the air.

The internet was abuzz with activity surrounding news of the cancellation, with many decrying the decision.

Kaling herself took to Instagram, cheekily posting a supposedly oblivious video of her on vacation, with the message, "Hey guys, I'm in Montana, is anything happening in LA?"

But in 2015, a cancellation could just mean a new beginning. Rumors abound that streaming service Hulu may step in and pick up the show. Based on the reaction on the web, if not the ratings numbers, Mindy might find love yet.
